Our partners

Better together. By design, not by accident.

Most consulting firms grow by absorbing the work. We grow by lifting the people doing it. The firms, vendors, universities and not-for-profits we partner with are not subcontractors or channel relationships, they are how we deliver work that holds together for our clients, and for the country we operate in.

Our philosophy

Control is not the goal. Coherence is.

When we work with a client, a technology vendor, a peer firm or a university, we do not reach for control that is not ours to take. We work alongside, not above or below. We bring partners in where they are better placed than us, and we let them lead in their domain. The work hangs together because the people delivering it are operating as one group with a shared problem, not as a vendor with deliverables.

We work with, not over.

We do not displace our clients' teams, our partners' people, or our own senior advisors. The judgment that wins the work belongs to the people closest to it.

We bring others in where they are better placed.

We are not the answer to every question. Where another firm, vendor, or institution is better placed to deliver, we say so, and we bring them in to lead their part.

We lift others rather than absorb them.

A good partnership leaves all parties more capable than they started. That is the test we hold ourselves to, across clients, partners, our own people, and the work itself.

Who we partner with

Four kinds of partner. One operating posture.

Our partnerships span four distinct relationships. Each carries its own form of contribution to the work we deliver, and its own demands on how we show up.

— 01

Technology partners

The AI model providers, cyber platforms, cloud providers and data infrastructure vendors whose technology we deploy in client environments. We work closely with their architects and field teams so the technology we recommend is the technology we actually understand at depth, and so our clients get our judgment, not a sales pitch dressed up as advice.

Examples of categories include: AI model providers, cyber platforms, hyperscale cloud, identity, data and observability vendors.

— 02

Professional services partners

Specialist firms whose capabilities complement ours, and where bringing them in alongside us delivers a sharper outcome than either of us could on our own. Joint delivery, shared accountability, distinct lanes. We do not subcontract; we partner.

Examples of categories include: specialist cyber, data engineering, change and adoption, legal-technical, and sector-specialist advisory firms.

From 2027

University partners

Australian universities working at the frontier of AI, cyber and critical infrastructure research. We are building partnerships that bring frontier research into client work, and that bring real client problems into research environments, without compromising the independence of either side. The first of these relationships will form during 2027.

Examples of categories include: AI safety and governance research groups, cyber research centres, and applied data science programs.

Not-for-profit partners

Australian not-for-profits whose missions intersect with the capabilities we hold, in cyber, data, AI and digital. We partner with selected not-for-profits to deliver pro-bono and reduced-rate work where our skills can do material good, and where we can learn from operating in environments very different from our enterprise clients.

Examples of categories include: cyber-safety charities, digital-inclusion programs, Indigenous data-sovereignty initiatives, and mission-aligned community organisations.

What this looks like in practice

The work hangs together because the people delivering it do.

When we bring a partner into a piece of client work, we are explicit about it from the start. We name who is leading what. We share the problem, not just the deliverable. We let the partner lead in their domain. And we hold ourselves accountable for the work hanging together, across our team, our partner's team, and our client's team, as a single, coherent piece of delivery.

It is a different way to operate. It is also, in our experience, the only way to do work that holds up over time.
